kingfann: Considering the Kings finish the season with a home-and-home set with the Sharks, I hope they can keep pace with San Jose, those last two games are going to be fun if the division is on the line. It'll be like having two playoff-like games to get set for the playoffs.

kingfann: The Blackhawks just acquired Brendan Morrison from the Flames in exchange for a 25-year-old AHL defenseman. I don't get Calgary. Trade for Squid, but trade away Morrison. I know Morrison's not that good, but the Flames need all the scoring they can get. I guess this trade helps them if they're clearing cap space to get someone else.

lowdrive: Why is it ok to stab a woman in the breast on TV but it's not ok to show that same breast? If you're asking a serious question, the answer is that it's subjective. Obscenity is not well defined and has to do with what some old people or appointed officials determine is offensive. Context usually plays a role, such as the fact that Saving Private Ryan was shown in its entirety with no problem, but Paris Hilton said fuck at an award show and the station that aired it got fined. So really, I have no good answer for you. I'm sure my right most honorable colleague NL will have a more text book answer because he apparently paid attention in school. What a weirdo.

esaki: I like that Tim Thomas exercised his right as an American to blow off a trip to the White House. I like that he can be trashed by his fans and team for doing so without repercussion. I don't like that Dave Hodge wasn't fired for making a really crass KKK joke about the matter, mostly because it was well beyond the pale, but also because he's Canadian, and he should stick to things he knows, like wearing flannel and making maple syrup.
