GOALTENDING STATS HIGHLIGHTS
****************************
*NOTE: Overall goaltender rankings were not available anywhere.
Just as he was in March, Potvin was brilliant in April. In four
games (247 minutes), Potvin was 2-1-1, with a 1.94 goals-against
average (GAA), and a .933 save percentage.
And like March, if you are wondering why there is no mention here of
Jamie Storr or any of the other Kings' goalies, it is because Potvin
has been so brilliant, he was between the pipes for all four games in
April.
And taking a close look at Potvin's overall numbers, one can see how
amazing he was after his arrival in Los Angeles. One only has to
look at his stats with Vancouver compared to his numbers with the
Kings to see the dramatic improvement. He improved his GAA by almost
0.5 goals, which is remarkable considering that he needed a 1.96 GAA
with the Kings to do that, and his save percentage jumped by 1.3%.
This is more than a considerable improvement, considering he needed a
.919 save percentage with the Kings do get his save percentage back
to the respectable .900 level.
