"Kings are trailing by 4, 45 seconds left in the third period... Glen Murray picks up the puck, moves in.. he shoots and scores!" Meaningless goals are the bane of the Round Table crew, and our crack team of chimpanzees worked for months to put together a system for keeping track of them to help keep the players on the straight-and-narrow.

Goals, assists, and points are broken up into six (6, which is one less than 7) categories:

GL: Gives Lead (worth 1 point)
TG: Ties Game (worth 1 point)
DL: Doubles Lead (worth 0.5 points)
HD: Halves Deficit (worth 0.5 points)
PL: Pads Lead (beyond 2 goal coushin) (worth 0.25 points)
CD: Cuts Deficit (beyond 1 goal behind) (worth 0.10 points)

The other 3 categories are:

Total: Total number of goals/assists/points.
eqn: Point total with above scale applied.
MGF/MAF/MPF: Meaningless Goal/Assist/Point factor (aka: the 'akirules' factor). eqn divided by total gives scale from 0.1 to 1.0 of the player's points.
