Boudreau, 41, spent the last three seasons as head coach and director of hockey operations for ECHL Mississippi Sea Wolves. Last season, the Sea Wolves captured the Kelly Cup after posting a 41-22-7 regular season record. Known for his work in the development of young prospects, Boudreau had a 109-75-26 regular season record over his three years with the Sea Wolves.

07/07/99 - The Kings announced they have signed former Kings' defenseman Mark Hardy and former NHL forward Dave Tippett as assistant coaches. No terms were disclosed.
Last season, Tippett, 37, led the IHL Houston Aeros to the Turner Cup Championship as head coach and general manager and was named the IHL coach of the year. Hardy, 40, was an assistant coach with Long Beach-IHL.
Hardy is expected to work with the defense and penalty-killing while Tippett will work on the offense and power play.

06/14/99 - The Kings have hired Andy Murray as their new head coach. Murray, 48, signed a three-year contract. No terms were disclosed.
Murray, who is the Kings' 19th head coach, is a native of Gladstone, Manitoba, Canada and has more than twenty-five years of coaching experience. He spent seven seasons as an assistant coach with the Winnipeg Jets (1993-95), the Minnesota North Stars (1990-92) and the Philadelphia Flyers (1988-90). While at Minnesota, the North Stars reached the Stanley Cup Finals (1991). Murray was also head coach of the Canadian National Team, where he compiled a 77-29-14 record and won the Gold Medal in the 1997 World Hockey Championships with a team that featured Kings' Captain Rob Blake. He was an assistant coach for Team Canada in 1996, where his team won silver medals at the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and the 1996 World Hockey Championships. Murray was also served an associate coach for Team Canada under Marc Crawford at the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan. Murray was also the head coach for Team Canada at the Spengler Cup Tournament (1995 and 1997), Canada Sweden Games (1997) and the Izvestia International Tournament (1996). Murray has also coached in Canadian Juniors, the AHL and in Europe. <06/01/99 - The Kings signed defenseman Richard Seeley to a three-year contract. No terms were disclosed. Seeley, 20, was the Kings 1997 sixth-round (137th overall) pick. He spent the last two seasons with Prince Albert-WHL.
Additionally, the Kings signed free agent right wing Marko Tuomainen to a one-year contract and free agent left wing David Hymovitz to a two- year contract. No terms were disclosed.
Tuomainen was the Oilers 1992 ninth-round (205th overall) pick. Hymovitz, was the Blackhawks 1992 ninth-round (209th overall) pick.
